Sarah Mireles is a Licensed Associate Counselors with See You Through It Counseling. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Rowan University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. During her time at Rutgers, she gained valuable knowledge regarding trauma and mental health concerns through her research work and exposure to diverse settings, including outpatient behavioral clinics and police agencies.
Sarah is enthusiastic for this journey and she is motivated to help you navigate through life’s challenges. As you both work together, her goal is to have a genuine safe and non-judgemental space for you. Through compassion, acceptance, and honesty, Sarah’s desire is to instill hope in you, guide you, and empower you as you become the best version of yourself!
Sarah has a passion for serving all first responders and all those who encompass the justice system. She also has a devotion for serving those who are survivors of trauma and for those who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, and life stressors.
Sarah’s approach to counseling includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Sarah also believes in meeting each client where they are at and tailoring each intervention to a client’s specific needs, and that includes guiding each client towards developing confidence and letting their own voice be heard throughout their growth and healing!
Sarah is a Licensed Associate Counselor (NJ License Number: 37AC00997400) and is directly supervised by the SYTI Counseling owner, Alyssa Scolari, MA, LPC, ACS (NJ License Number 37PC00718700).
Outside of counseling, Sarah can most likely be found hiking a mountain or enjoying time with her family! She also enjoys writing poems, going to the gym, loves cooking, and she is a huge lover of all animals! Sarah believes in appreciating the small things in her life, giving her an opportunity to slow down and soak in the beauty of it all.
