Carson Thomas is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC). She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rowan University in 2023 and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University. Carson has experience in behavioral and mental health settings, working with adults who experience symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
Carson currently works with both children and adults who experience symptoms of anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, and borderline personality disorder.
Her therapy style includes prioritizing an atmosphere that is compassionate and non-judgmental. She values having a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship with her clients and often utilizes techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). Carson understands the difficulty and strength it takes to commit to the therapy process, and she wants to provide a trusting and supportive relationship with her clients so that she can help them discover a sense of peace and healing within their lives.
Carson is a Licensed Associate Counselor (NJ License Number 37AC00909800) and is directly supervised by the SYTI Counseling owner, Alyssa Scolari, MA, LPC, ACS (NJ License Number 37PC00718700).
Off the Job
Outside of counseling, Carson loves to spend time with her family and friends. She also enjoys spending time outside, as being anywhere in nature provides a calming and comforting feeling. Carson also loves listening to music (her favorite artist is Noah Kahan) and watching true crime documentaries.
